Description

Supporting Friends, a sub committee of KORA’s Care and Nurturing Committee, has a mission to assist identified residents to achieve improved well-being. Supporting Friends responds to requests from Social Services and the Director of Clinical Services to assist identified residents in a variety of ways, to reduce social isolation and to continue engagement with their community and environment. These activities also include offering to sit at the bedside during the end of life and sending letters of remembrance to families. Other activities are added as the need for support is identified. Supporting Friends meets every third Tuesday of the month in the Green Room at 1:30.
