LIBRARY COMMITTEE

To provide recreational reading and basic information sources to Kendal residents. This library consists of books, newspapers, magazines and audio books (on cassettes and CDs). We also maintain a copier, a computer, a Merlin magnifying reader and a storage box for documents to be shredded.
(Judy Tandy chair, Randy Wagner liaison)

Bookmobile Service: To bring information and reading materials to residents in the Care Center who might find it difficult to get to the Kendal or any other Oberlin library. (Vi Blount)

Copier, Printer and Shredder Service: To buy supplies for and maintain the Library copiers and computer printer for general use at 5 cents a copy or printed page. We also collect contributions left atop the shredder box and include them with our deposits to the KORA checking account, and in monthly reports to the KORA Treasurer. Profits go to library purposes, like the Windows 7 HP computer and monitor installed in January 2014, or are given to the Residents Assistance Fund. (Terry Carlton)

Library Desk Volunteers: To provide library service and materials to Kendal residents and occasional visitors as described by the “Kendal Library Daily Routine” kept on the library desk. (Jane Moore)
