PROGRAM COMMITTEE
To plan, provide and promote a variety of quality
lectures, concerts, trips, movies and special events to suit the
interests of Kendal residents. The Program Committee is the
coordinating body for resident initiated programs at Kendal. Kendal residents and non-residents who wish to make a presentation or sponsor a presenter should contact
the Program Committee Chair with a written description of the
proposed program. The Program Committee chair will then consult
with the committee to avoid duplication and other potential conflicts of
interest or scheduling.
Representatives from the following and other subcommittees share their planning by reporting to the Program Committee at the regular
monthly meetings.

Meets the 2nd Monday of each month at 4:00 p.m. in the Green Room
Big Bus Trips: To provide interesting trips away from Oberlin at a minimum cost. To be self-sustaining. (Inactive)
Center for Lifelong Learning (including News & Views): The Oberlin Committee (called Tier
3) is a subcommittee of the Center for Lifelong Learning Curriculum
Committee, sponsored by Lorain County Community College and
affiliated with Oberlin College and the Elderhostel Institute Network.
Our purpose is to plan and offer a variety of continuing education
classes which are held in Oberlin, most at Kendal. (Harol Pesuit)

Foreign and Documentary Films:(Dwight Call)
Music: The primary purpose of the KORA Music Committee is to provide quality musical programs performed by students and professors from the Oberlin Conservatory of Music, by Kendal residents, and by other soloists and ensembles from the larger community. (Carol Longsworth, Larry Dunn)

Saturday Night Movies: To present entertaining, upbeat non-violent films, usually comedies or comedy dramas, the first Saturday of each month. ( Donna VanRaaphorst, Diana Kahn)
Special Events: Coordinates planning for Spring Fling Dance,
Fourth of July Parade, Solstice Celebration, Christmas Eve

Third Thursday Lectures: To invite speakers of interest to Kendal every third Thursday except generally during December and the summer. (Not to be confused with First Thursday Health Lectures.) (Priscilla Steinberg)
