Oberlin Chalk Walk 2011

The sixth annual Oberlin Chalk Walk took place on Saturday, June 25, 2011, attracting more than 500 artists from throughout the region and far beyond.

Their medium: chalk, brightly colored, large pieces of chalk. Their canvas: sidewalks throughout the center of the city. Their audience: pedestrians of all stripes, who enjoyed the bright, sunny day by walking along the sidewalks and appreciating the art.

As in past years, Kendal residents were prominent among the volunteers who staffed the event, including the registration desk. They were also well represented among the viewers.

The day included a session called “Intro to Pastel Drawing” as well as musical entertainment.
